Preparation
What the cell actually does
Placement work here starts long before a company arrives. Students register with the cell in their second year and move through a structured programme of training, assessment and practice interviews.
- Aptitude training — weekly quantitative, reasoning and verbal practice with timed mock tests.
- Communication — spoken English, group discussion and presentation sessions in the language laboratory.
- Technical readiness — stream-specific workshops: Tally and GST for commerce, programming and databases for computing.
- Résumé and interview — individual résumé review and mock interviews with external panellists.
- Internships — summer placements with local firms, banks, schools and IT companies.
- Higher study guidance — counselling for postgraduate entrance, NET, banking and civil services examinations.
